Nannying while studying: A perfect match

The perfect combo!

Nannying provides me with the perfect opportunity to dedicate time to my studies in a way few other jobs can. My days are very flexible allowing me to work on my degree while also completing my daily tasks. My work start time is late morning, giving me a few hours to get some reading done before I head in. I can then take some time off from studying and tackle my jobs for the day. Every day is different which is so fun and keeps it super interesting. The fulfilling nature of the job provides a welcome respite from the stresses of study, something which is super important for your mental health when under the pressure of a masters!

A key element of my degree is studying child psychological development, so being surrounded by kids is perfect. It also provides the rewards of watching them develop and grow, turning into their own confident mini people!

The kids are also very interested and invested in my degree, which with the parents being incredibly encouraging and understanding creates such a sweet support system. The kids get excited every time I hand in a piece of work or get a grade back and insist we have ice lollies to celebrate!

Another great thing about studying while nannying is the travel. You are provided with opportunities to travel to the most amazing places, watching the kids in brand new environments and most importantly having lots and lots of fun. The flexibility I’m provided allows me plenty of time to study when we go away, even with the schedule being so different, and it’s always nicer to write an essay with an amazing view!

I could not recommend this combination enough. I cannot think of any other job where you can better yourself in so many ways while having so much fun at the same time. It’s amazing!
